Retrospect Monday: Napoli

I stayed in the small town of Napoli for one night.  Just enough time to take some pictures, have a Delicious dinner, and eat some refreshing chocolate gelato.

The building in the back ground used to be a prison, now I believe it is a museum.

This was just a lucky moment.  This always remindes me of an Ansel Adams quote, she said "Sometimes I get places just when God's ready to have someone click the shutter."  The way the light is falling on the building's facade, the vine of flowers that is barely hanging onto the buildings, and the vivid colors just work together.

Love Always,

Meg

Retrospect Monday: Mykanos

There are pelicans that wander the Island of Mykonos, I didn't want to get to close but they were beautiful.

I can't imagine getting too much work done if I was looking out at this beautiful site each day.

This happens to be one of my favorite pictures from my trip.  In my mind, everything just seems to work.  I love the croooked street sign, the boat in the distance, and the vivid red of the church.

Love Always,

Meg

Retrospect Monday: Santorini

Other then Turkey, Santorini was my absolute favorite place.  It was sooooo beautiful.

The water is sooooo blue, and the stark white buildings against the blue is beyond amazing.

Oh my word, how I love windmills.  I only wish the sails has been up.

Many families have these  small churches, that look like they could only hold 10-20 people.  Our guide told us that families hold services on their patron saints fiest days.

This was the main church on the square and I had to really control myself because all I wanted to do was pull the stings for the church bells.

Love Always,

Meg

Retrospect Monday: Santorini

This small church is the first place I visited in Santorini, it was filled to the brim with artifacts and it was beautiful.

This is the view from the small church.  I don't know if it is the dark blue of the chirch in the forground, or how this picture shows how flat of the island is...but I love this picture.

Love Always,

Meg
