Villanova Vs. Southern Florida

Ok, so this might be the last Nova game that I'll be going to this season...maybe one more, but who knows.  I will try to take more pictures this week, and go somewhere new and different.

I have never seen this grotto on campus before, to be honest I don't go around this part of campus often, but it looked sooo serene with the untouched snow.  I really like this picture.

I love St. Thomas Church, we drive by it every time we go to visit, but this time we took the time to take a closer look and take some pictures.

I've always been drawn to religious architecture, it is one of my favorite things to photograph.

We had another great game.  We were ahead the whole game, it wasn't a close game at all, but it was great to see another victory!!!

Villanova Vs. Providence

So today's Villanova game came down to the wire again, but today we did not walk away with a victory.  A little disappointing, but it was still an exciting game.

I should be going to next week's game as well, hopefully next week we will pull out a win  :  )

Villanova Vs. Syracuse

Today my father and I made our way to Villanova University to see a wildcat basket ball game, and it was the best game I have been to in years.

Because of traffic and parking we usually get to the stadium an hour early.  It's always fun to see the seats fill up.

The calm before the storm  :  )

Here they were practicing at half time.

Going into this game, as Syracuse is number 3 in the league, we were definitely the underdog.

With 2 minutes left the Syracuse fans behind us were shouting, "the games over...call it now."  With 18 seconds left we were still down by three points.  Arcidiacono made that three point shot with seconds to spare.  The game definately wasn't over, and we went to over time.

The atmosphere in the arena was palpable, and this is why I love going to games.  The excitement of the fans, especially the students.

When we won, 75-71 in overtime the crowd went nuts.  The students had been preparing to rush the court for a few minutes leading up to the win.

I guess these pictures really speak for themselves.  It was an amazing game!!!  The best part was when we were leaving, the woman sitting next to me turns around and shouted, "NOW the game is over."  The syracuse fans didn't know what to say.  Go Nova!!!!!

Blur, Blur, Blur: Photo Project week 3, day 1

Today I finally made some progress.  I went to an amazing Villanova basket ball game today, and I finally got some blur pictures that I am not embarissed to share.  I am finally getting a better understanding of where to set my shutter speed in floresent lighting, next step is sunlight.

This year I am going to continue to say no to any auto settings.  Whether I am using my point and shoot camera or my DSLR, I will set the aperture, shutter speed or both on my own. Without the crutch of auto mode, I know I will become more intune with my camera, big bertha.  :  )

All of these picutures were edited with Pioneer woman's colorized tool, except the first photo.  I love how it warms up the pictures.

Love Always,
