The first place we visited on our second day was Lake Somerset.
A few people came out to fish while we walked around, the alligator sign gave me a chuckle.
I love the spanish moss drooping down from these trees. Gorgeous.
We finally saw a blue heron, it just sat by the bank for a few minutes and then flew away.
The remainder of the day we stayed home and sunned in the back yard. Every so often an egret would meander past. It's as if they are just pacing around the lake. This one flew out the grate.
This poor confused turtle could not decide what to do. It took him a full five minutes to get on top of this small vent. Then he would decided that the sun was too hot. Then ten minutes later he was start the arduous task of trying to get back on the vent.
What a wonderful vacation with my mother.
Love Always,
Meg
