Day 12- Tokyo, Japan

Hello Hello, today was my final day sight seeing in Japan.  We visited the Meiji Shrine.

It was a lovely vacation which I will never forget.  We had amazing weather and were lucky enough to see the Cherry Blossoms in bloom.  Until next time.

Meg

Day 11- Matsue, Japan

Hello Hello, Today we visited the Black Castle in Matsue.
I have to admit, I love the teal colonial houses that we saw regardless of the historical accuracy.
Mainly because I tend to love teal anything.

I also can never get enough of the moss we saw, the texture that it adds is just amazing.
The black castle

I had to take pictures of the steep, steep stair cases that we climbed and truly the picture doesn't do it justice. You also can't see how long I stood in the vicinity of this spot waiting for a moment where no one was around.

Love Always,

Meg

Day 9- Nagasaki, Japan

Hello, Today we went to Nagasaki and learned about the heartbreaking history of the city. Below are paper cranes from the museum we visited.

Next we walked through the peace park which was beautiful  Above is a statue of Sadako, surrounded by paper cranes from around the world.

Next we visited the Dejima museum and Glover gardens which show western architecture.
 Finally we visited Glover Gardens.

I absolutely love the old glover house, I may just be partial to the blue color.

Love Always,

Meg

Day 8- Kagoshima, Japan

Hello Hello, Today we visited the Chiran Samurai Gardens in Kagoshima.  These were some of the loveliest gardens I have ever seen, extremely green and well manicured.

As we left the gardens and walked through the main street nearby, we saw this lovely little koi pond that ran next to the side walk.
 Loved seeing the little fishies.

We ended the day with a visit to a very moving museum.

Love Always,

Meg
